I am Ioana Preda, a psychologist and Certified Transactional Analyst (Psychotherapy). For the past 18 years, I have worked with adult clients in both individual and group psychotherapy. My professional experience spans both public and private healthcare settings, in Romania and Great Brittain. Since 2026, I have also become a Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst. Alongside my own clinical practice, these new roles have given me the opportunity to support fellow therapists in the important work they do with others.<\/p>\n

My supervisor used to say: \"Help your clients have the problems they have.<\/i>\" Although this may sound counterintuitive, I believe it is one of the most respectful and responsible descriptions of psychotherapy I have ever encountered. Much of my work consists of helping clients recognise and tolerate the emotions they need to move through in order to resume their psychological development where it has become blocked.<\/p>\n
